This policy outlines prohibited and acceptable uses of Uncappify services. All users must comply with these guidelines to maintain a safe, secure, and fair environment for everyone.
You must not use Uncappify services for any illegal purposes including: fraud, hacking, phishing, distribution of malware, ransomware, intellectual property theft, child exploitation, or any activity violating South African law. Illegal activity will result in immediate account termination and referral to appropriate authorities.
Using our services to harass, stalk, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against individuals or groups is strictly prohibited. This includes: sending unwanted messages, threats, hate speech, discrimination based on protected characteristics, or cyberbullying. Violations result in account suspension/termination and possible legal action.
You must not use our services to send unsolicited bulk emails, SMS spam, push notifications, or other mass communications. This includes phishing emails, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent offers. Spam will result in immediate service suspension and potential referral to relevant authorities.
Distribution, hosting, or execution of malware, viruses, ransomware, trojans, or other malicious software is prohibited. Creating or distributing tools designed to compromise security, cause denial-of-service attacks, or unauthorized access is forbidden.
You must not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights. This includes: unauthorized copying of software, distributing pirated content, selling counterfeit products, or hosting copyrighted material without permission. Copyright infringement notices will be actioned immediately.
You must not interfere with network operations or other users' access. This includes: creating security vulnerabilities, unauthorized network scanning, denial-of-service attacks, packet sniffing, or exploiting network weaknesses. Network abuse results in immediate suspension.
ISP services are provided on an "uncapped" basis, but with fair use thresholds to ensure equitable service for all users. Monthly data thresholds per plan: • 10Mbps Plans: 500GB/month threshold • 20Mbps Plans: 1TB/month threshold • 30Mbps+ Plans: 2TB+/month threshold Exceeding thresholds results in speed throttling for the remainder of the month. No overages charges apply; service quality is reduced.
Extremely excessive usage (>5TB/month without justification) may result in service suspension pending investigation. Usage patterns are analyzed to distinguish legitimate use from abuse. ISP services are not intended for: commercial bulk data transfer, cryptocurrency mining, or server hosting.
Web hosting plans have defined disk space limits. Exceeding allocated storage may result in service suspension. Additional storage can be purchased at R25/GB/month. CPU and memory overuse affecting other users may result in throttling or suspension.
Hosting services are intended for website hosting, not: computation-intensive applications, cryptocurrency mining, rendering services, or other heavy processing. Uses causing server strain affecting other users may be suspended immediately.
While not metered individually, excessive bandwidth usage affecting other users may result in throttling or suspension. Typical usage is measured in gigabytes; usage in hundreds of gigabytes monthly may be reviewed for legitimacy.
Hosting, transmitting, or accessing illegal content is prohibited. This includes: child exploitation material (CSAM), animal abuse content, content depicting violence or terrorism, or content violating South African laws. Illegal content is reported to appropriate authorities immediately.
Pornographic or adult content is allowed with restrictions: must use age verification, must comply with local laws regarding adult content, must be contained with clear warnings. Hosting such content without proper safeguards results in suspension.
Content promoting discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is prohibited. Hate speech content violates South African hate crime laws and will be removed immediately.
While we allow diverse viewpoints, deliberately spreading demonstrably false information (especially about health, elections, or public safety) may result in content removal or account suspension. We reserve the right to label or remove provably false information affecting public safety.
Hosting defamatory content making false allegations about identifiable individuals may result in content removal upon notice. We require verifiable evidence of falsity. Users may be required to indemnify Uncappify against defamation claims.
You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage Uncappify services without explicit written permission. This includes: selling ISP access under another brand, reselling hosting as your own, or sublicensing services to others. Unauthorized reselling results in account termination.
ISP services are intended for personal/home use; commercial usage may be prohibited depending on plan type. Enterprise plans are designed for businesses. Using personal ISP plans for commercial purposes may result in service suspension and reclassification to commercial plans.
Hosting services may not be used to operate unauthorized services. VPN services, proxy services, open relay services, or other network services affecting other users are prohibited without written approval from management.
Excessive API calls overwhelming our systems may result in rate limiting or access revocation. API abuse is defined as requests designed to disrupt service or cause denial-of-service conditions. Normal API usage is unaffected.
You must maintain strict confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share passwords or access tokens. You are responsible for all account activity. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately. We are not liable for unauthorized access due to your negligence.
For sensitive accounts, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). Some accounts may require 2FA for security purposes. Accounts without 2FA may be disabled without notice if suspicious activity is detected.
If you discover security vulnerabilities in Uncappify services, report them responsibly to security@uncappify.co.za. Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities before we have time to patch them. Responsible disclosure is appreciated and may qualify for our bug bounty program.
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations including: data protection laws (POPIA), copyright law, tax obligations, and industry-specific regulations. We may suspend services to comply with legal obligations.
Uncappify monitors service usage to detect abuse, security threats, and fair use violations. Monitoring includes: bandwidth analysis, traffic inspection, content scanning, and pattern analysis. Monitored data is treated confidentially and used only for service improvement and enforcement.
Third-party complaints about your account (copyright, harassment, etc.) trigger investigation. We contact you with details and allow you to respond. If a complaint is substantiated, we take appropriate action up to account termination.
Severe violations (malware, illegal content, spam) may result in automatic account suspension without prior warning. Automated systems are employed for immediate response to threats. Manual review follows automatic suspension, and you are notified of the violation.
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal within 14 days. Provide evidence supporting your position. Management reviews appeals within 7 business days. Suspension pending review decisions cannot be expedited, but we aim to resolve quickly.
Minor policy violations result in warnings. Written warnings explain the violation and required corrective action. You have 7 days to comply. Failure to comply results in escalation to suspension.
Serious or repeated violations result in temporary suspension. Suspended accounts cannot access services but remain billable. Suspension period ranges from 24 hours to 30 days depending on violation severity. You are notified of suspension details and how to resolve.
Very serious violations (illegal activity, repeated abuse, non-compliance with legal orders) result in permanent account termination. Terminated accounts cannot be recovered. Unpaid balances are pursued for collection. Legal action may be initiated.
Illegal activity is reported to appropriate law enforcement and regulatory bodies. Uncappify cooperates fully with investigations. Referrals are made for: fraud, hacking, CSAM, money laundering, and other criminal activity.
Users are liable for damages caused by their service usage. If your account causes harm to others or our infrastructure, you may be pursued for: compensation, legal costs, and remediation expenses. You indemnify Uncappify against third-party claims.
You warrant that your use of Uncappify services complies with all applicable laws. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance. Uncappify is not responsible for verifying lawfulness of your use; we respond to legal complaints and violations we discover.
For hosted content, you warrant that you own or have rights to all content, and that it does not infringe third-party rights. You indemnify Uncappify against copyright claims, defamation claims, and other content-related legal actions.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical data. While we provide backups, data recovery is not guaranteed. In case of data loss, recovery attempts are made on a best-effort basis and may incur recovery fees.
You must implement reasonable security measures for your accounts and systems. Keep passwords confidential, use 2FA where available, and monitor account activity. Uncappify is not liable for security breaches resulting from your negligence.
If you dispute an enforcement action, contact support@uncappify.co.za with: detailed explanation, supporting evidence, and requested resolution. We respond within 5 business days. Disputes may be escalated to management for review.
Third-party complaints about your content or account are investigated. You are notified and have opportunity to respond. Substantiated complaints result in action; unsubstantiated complaints are dismissed. If you dispute a complaint, provide evidence of falsity.
Disputes may ultimately require legal resolution. These terms are governed by South African law. Legal proceedings are handled in Western Cape courts. Both parties bear their own legal costs unless court awards costs.
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes are communicated via email 30 days in advance. Your continued use after notice constitutes acceptance. Review this policy regularly for updates.
This Acceptable Use Policy is effective as of January 2026. Previous versions are available upon request. The most current version is always available at uncappify.co.za/terms/acceptable-use-policy.
Uncappify maintains zero tolerance for illegal activity, malware distribution, harassment, and content exploitation. Violations result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement. We take security and safety seriously.
